The Challenge
Nisa Retail Limited is a brand and groceries wholesaler operating in the United Kingdom. Today Nisa is a £1.45 billion turnover company which exists to provide benefits to approx. 1,400 partners, operating almost 4,000 stores.
Nisa were introduced to PLM Global through a longstanding customer at an industry event. The initial conversation was regarding an ‘out of warranty’ handheld terminal repair that we have previously completed for other companies within the convenience sector.
The client had been struggling with high handheld terminal repair costs, strenuous turnaround times on said parts and repairs and a lengthy administration process. They soon realised that they needed the support of a reliable hardware partner, with strong OEM partnerships – this is where we stepped in!

The Solution
To take any worry or perceived risk away from the client, we offered some free of charge, sample devices that had previously been repaired – being able to prove the concept of PLM Global guaranteeing reduced costs and quick turnaround times. By offering them a real-time example of how we work, we gained the trust of our client.
To overcome their administration frustrations, we introduced a two-tier price system which helped to reduce the admin process significantly – alongside the turnaround times.

The Delivery
Nisa now use a range of handheld terminal products, supplied by PLM Global, for various stock movement activities throughout their operation.
Our relationship with Nisa has been longstanding with regards to our repair services and we expect this to only strengthen in the coming years.
