The best way to start the New Year? Realise the value of your assets!

In the New Year, it’s not unusual for businesses to review their processes, outgoings, platforms and tools within the workplace. However, it can’t just be a case of “out with the old and in with the new” - disposal can be hard, especially when it comes to equipment. The WEEE regulations across the UK and Europe don’t allow quick disposal, there are very specific guidelines in place to ensure every piece of equipment is handled correctly.

It doesn’t take long for IT equipment to expire. You could have bought first-class technology when your business first opened - but how is it working for you now? The value of redundant equipment isn’t a complete zero, but there are ways and means of ensuring your equipment is disposed of safely, responsibly and you could even make some money back.

This is where our services, such as Repair, Buy Backs and Asset Disposal, come into force.

With the current situation of the global chip and generally supply chain shortages, it might be difficult for businesses to upgrade to new equipment in the new year. Therefore, looking at your current estate and making it more uniformed to aid your workforce into working more effectively could be of great benefit.

How?

We offer the best market pricing for all redundant barcode and EPoS hardware. Due to our truly global client base, we are able to maximise on the potential reutilisation of equipment, avoiding unnecessary landfill waste.

An example of this would be… We have many clients who use the Zebra MC9000 series, of which there are various counterparts. Customers use these across many of the models within this series, and at PLM Global, we can look at making your assets more uniformed and help with making your estate to one single type, so it is the same for all users. We can also help by buying back some of the existing estate and replacing it with new or refurbished devices to match the chosen working model that best suits your environment.

What is a refurbished device?

Over time, many products will become discontinued. We can appreciate that the refurbishment process becomes an integral part of ensuring the product lifecycle continues, and parts are being recycled where they can. We are happy to take your inventory for full or part refurbishment and offer a multi-level solution which includes ‘Grade A’ as new or functional refurbishment. This gives our clients a warrantied product that might have signs of use but is still perfectly fine to use – which is all they require when using essential ‘non-customer facing’ equipment.
